Mass Murder For Profit

However you may feel about the war between Russia and Ukraine, there's one disturbing fact that you should be aware of. US politicians are heavily invested, directly and indirectly, in US arms manufacturers. Their goal is not a secure eastern Europe. It is not to stop Russian influence, or contain Russia militarily. It is to take US tax dollars and funnel them through the Ukraine in a way that guarantees that money comes back to them and their major donors. No matter how many Russians or Ukrainians die. Behind all the propaganda, for them it is only about personal profits. 

And while the wealth of US politicians is a very muddy affair, since they declare their investments and earnings in very general terms, President Biden at minimum quadrupled his worth in less than two years in office.

There's lots of conspiracy theories out there as to why the US so blindly supports Israel. Ranging from the fanciful and antisemetic "Jews control the world", to the more realistic fact that Israeli groups like AIPAC are huge donors to both parties. Sure, there's some very terrible people out there with a lot of money and influence, and some are Jewish, but be real. There's plenty more terrible non-Jews who also have wealth and even more influence. And sure, AIPACs donations buy influence, but US political parties are billion dollar organizations. What APIAC and others like them give is a drop in an ocean.

The main reason there is so much support for Israel in the US government, is investments. The companies our politicians are invested in profit more from supporting genocide than ending it. And the government of Israel knows this. They have deep ties and mutual investments with these companies. Israelis don't control the US government, but they understand well how it functions. And that's why even the politicians coming out (finally) against the attacks on Gaza are milquetoast in their response. They know their colleagues are stealing millions in tax dollars, and funneling it to corporations they profit off of, using Israel as middleman. Actually doing something to help end the war would be going up against the most powerful force in Washington D.C. The personal greed of all three branches of government. And military leadership. And all our spy and federal policing agencies.

We are ruled by monsters. And the people behind the monsters are even worse. It's not just the US government either. Western governments are heavily invested in war. That's why there is no real pushback when the US invades another country. That's why they'd gladly sacrifice every single Ukrainian. That's why they all rally around Israel. So. Much. Money.

And it's wild to me, that so many people support the Democrat party. Because "they will protect our rights." I'm not going to trust my rights to people who profit off blowing up innocent people. If they won't protect Palestinians from genocide, I'm not leaning on them to protect me.

     One of the biggest hurdles I have for breaking bad habits and instilling good ones has always been my own brain. I know my own weaknesses and can talk myself out of anything.            There is so much in this world I do not understand. So much that I have to accept I will never understand. There is only so much time to learn and experience, just in regards to what mankind has to teach, that I cannot possibly take it all in. And then there is the infinite amount of things no human has yet discovered or experienced that will forever be a mystery.     And so it is critically important to make peace with that. I can accept it so that it is not a stumbling block to growth, or not and live in some kind of delusional fantasy. Company Town USA

For anyone who doesn't know, here's the generic Wikipedia definition of a company town: A company town is a place where all or most of the stores and housing in the town are owned by the same company that is also the main employer. What that definition leaves out though, is that in practice the company running everything sets wages and prices so that the employees tend to stay in debt to the company. So every worker has no choice but to keep working, but the cost of surviving in order to work keeps the debt slowly growing. It's a trap that keeps the workers in a position to be exploited without really any recourse. With that idea in mind: BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street.
