US politicians are heavily invested, directly and indirectly, in US arms manufacturers. Their goal is not a secure eastern Europe. It is not to stop Russian influence, or contain Russia militarily. It is to take US tax dollars and funnel them through the Ukraine in a way that guarantees that money comes back to them and their major donors. No matter how many Russians or Ukrainians die. Behind all the propaganda, for them it is only about personal profits. And while the wealth of US politicians is a very muddy affair, since they declare their investments and earnings in very general terms, President Biden at minimum quadrupled his worth in less than two years in office.
